Members Tullsterx
I have a lot of trouble hearing myself clearly when I'm playing in various rooms with the whole band playing. And I was thinking about adding some additional monitors to my setup, like maybe some kind of small hot-spot monitors attached to the front of my keyboard stand. . . Does anybody else do that? What speakers would be good for that?

Members augerinn
For a band situation, I'd use a pair of floor monitors, or a PA. Most small monitors that you can buy now days are Studio Reference, and not really made for live use.
Members NickD101
Obviously I don't know your setup, but for me the biggest improvement in hearing myself was buying a simple stand for my keyboard amp, so it was actually pointing upwards towards my ears. Members stillearning
TC Helicon VSM 200XT or 300XT. We use four 300's for all our stage monitoring in one of the club bands I'm in. If your stage volume is under control, they're up to the task, and if you go with the 300's, there's plenty of versatility in the hook-up methods.
