Anyone here have one or experience with one?

I found a really nice one online and am thinking of buying it.

Just spoke with the seller and he said there's some outputs on the back that go into a special amplifier that you have to buy separately.

He also said the tremolo and bass and treble functions don't work unless you connect it to the optional amp you have to buy.

Since I don't know anything about this, I was hoping someone hear might have some experience.

Thanks

It looks to me like a Rhodes Suitcase Piano.

The Rhodes Stage Piano is a passive instrument that, like an electric guitar, uses magnetic pickups and does not require external power.

IIRC, the Suitcase model connects to a specific stereo amplifier that it sits on top of. If the suitcase piano has active electronics it would need to get power from somewhere. The power may be provided to the piano via the connection to the amplifier. Without the amplifier, the Suitcase model functions like the Stage model with only the passive pickups and volume control.
