  • WTH kind of synth is this?

Mike Huckabee at NAMM 2011. The synth is big & appears to have two monitors.

Looks like some arranger keyboard. Also, there is something like number "4" on the back panel. Maybe it's Yamaha Tyros 4?

Woohoo! AN UPSCALE PSR series! For only 5 grand you get speakers, labeled keys, AND a nice square coffee mug holder on the right

Is that floppy disk drive I'm seeing? I bet Kronos doesn't have one.

wait. are you fricking kidding me? That floppy one must be a proto type from the 90's. what the heck would you want a floppy disc for? even the smallest, cheapest flash drives are way better than discs.

where'd you dig that picture out from??

Here's the new one- no floppy.

as far as a glorified PSR, hardly, these things have technology that generally trickles down to the pro level boards at some point. Listen to some of the demos on here:

heh. funny that. It's even listed on the page with other PSRs:

                      Arranger Workstations
                      Tyros4
                      PSR-S910
                      PSR-S710
                      PSR-OR700
                      PSR-S550B
                      Tyros3

oh lordy! Not the OOH AAH doo wahh vocal samples again. hahahahahaha that whole preview is FILLED with them. those went out in 89

Forget about the vocal crap, look at the SA voices that made it down into the Motif boards. The SA2 voices will be in the Motif line before too long.
