He's got a lot to compete against, or 'share' the stage with, I meant.

Awesome drummer too, playing out in a conveniant crop circle. Sweet?

I find it interesting that of all the talented musicians out there,

http://www.christianforums.com/t7416149/

I continuely see many of the same names brought up over and over too.

I'm learning about lots of new artists here I'm unofamilia with, much of todays talent.

Not wanting to rely on all the old favourites John Lord, Kieth Emerson, Rick Wakeman, Ray Manzarek, Jordan Rudess

when trying to select new mu$ic to buy, to listen to at home.

Who are they? Tell me "Who Do You Love"?

Two lists and several posts and still no mention of Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, or Johnny Johnson?

or Allen Tousaint or Floyd Cramer or ...

of course, that was back when people actually played the piano a lot; now most homes don't even have one :cry:

The classical guys should be on a list of their own. There are literally thousands of em. The ones that make a list like this had some hit record or other way of becoming a quasi-household name, but there are a ridicuous amount of classical guys that could make a list like this.

When I read the title of this thread I thought it was going to be about keyboard players who hold/held rank as an officer in a military. If it is going to be laundry lists of keyboard players then separating into genres would be a good idea. For classical players one could also separate into "interpreters" (of Chopin, Bartok, etc).
