  • Roland JV 30 Internal battery?

I have a Roland JV30 which I bought new in 1993 and has been stored away for years. Now I need it for a gig. It seems to work fine and there is no "Low Battery" warning but I have to assume that the internal backup battery is near the end of its lifespan.

    2 questions:

    1. Does keeping the Synth plugged in to AC help extend the internal battery life or does that make any difference?

    2. I have replaced batteries in other Synths and it's usually easy if the battery is accessible. I took the back off the JV 30 but I don't see where the battery is. Anyone have any experience with a JV-30? I'm wondering how deep I would have to dig to find it. Any help advice appreicated.

    Thanks
