Members fingersg
Does anyone know? It sounds a bit like ppg stuff but I'm just guessing. Obviously there is some vocoder in there at the end of every chorus but thats all the obvious I can gather.
Members sprinklerhead
I know this isn't the original gear that they used, but hope it helps.
Members fingersg
I have to say that is an awful performance of that song!!! He is not singing well and the addition of two not so hot chicks on stage dancing like idiots is not helping. Congrats to the keyboard player who knows how to press play on his laptop. If I had payed money see that, I'd want it back.
Members sprinklerhead
Yeah, the two women from the crowd on stage are pretty bad. I was having a hard time finding any early live performances of that song.

Members Ghostpaw
Link: Q&A With the Naked Eyes' Pete Byrne The Naked Eyes bio mentions that you were among the first acts to use the fabled Fairlight CMI sampling synthesizer, which Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush and Yello also used to great effect. Had did that come about?Well, because we were one of the first sort of synth duos, we had just about everything you could imagine -- mainly on rental of course. But when the Fairlight came out our producer I think got one of the first ones and it was only a natural progression for us to spend all our money on one as well. Doesn't say they used it for that song specifically but it is likely.

Members kpatz
I had the CD at one time (or maybe it was a "Best Of" CD) and it showed a Prophet-5 on the cover. So I wouldn't be surprised if that was used in the song somewhere too.
