Members EchoEko
To anybody with an MPC, I'm in need of some knowledge of how MIDI recording works with the MPC & external modules. Let's say I want to MIDI record a few notes into the MPC & have it loop. Can you also record MIDI actions, such as tweaking the JP-8080's Filter Resonance fader, assuming the MIDI In & Outs & channels are connected correctly? For example, I'd like to do a manual filter sweep on a MIDI recorded sequence pattern and have that sweep (in the form of MIDI) be recorded along with the notes played, velocity, etc. (so that later on, if I decide to change it, I could re-do the MIDI, instead of re-recording everything all over again) If you can MIDI record knob/fader MIDI movements... is is possible to overdub just the filter movement, without having to re-record the notes played? thank you for any help! Members moogerfooger
yes you can record knob and fader movements. when i used a ASQ10 - predecessor to the MPC, I always created another track on the same channel and recorded control message to that track. that way you can tweak the control messages with out having to redo the note messages,
