Members framushead
Excuse my lack of info on this... But I'm looking for something that can get some journey and van halen synth type sounds on a budget.
Members DJ RAZZ
Any Rompler or VA will do. I like the Roland Juno Gi and Di for those types of sounds, but many synths will do. Need more info. Romplers will give you more milage overall.

Members ChristianRock
Journey seems to have used the Ensoniq TS10 a lot since it came out almost a couple decades ago. It is also very capable of Van Halen sounds, and at least here in Atlanta, aren't all that expensive on the used market (and have what might be the best effects engine in a workstation synth along with the Kurzweils, and that's the Ensoniq DP4...) Members DJ RAZZ
Ensoniqs still have unique features and qualities that synths 20 years newer do not exactly have.
Members DJ RAZZ
I have yet to find a sound or part that I can't at least get close to with a little tweaking on my Roland Juno GI, but I like tweaking sounds. Used classic Rolands are another option, like a Juno 60.
Members liliththekitten
want an Ensoniq... SQ-80 specifically... I think you need one of these... [video=youtube;LatorN4P9aA] A muscle shirt and air. And a girl with Go=Go's hair and leather miniskirt. And a Jupiter 8 you can play against a wall. Except maybe substitute a Jupiter-80. Love Journey.

Members Crazyfoo
I was all set to buy a Jupiter 80 but had some unexpected expenses come up. I just got my aging mom a nice place in one of those 'retirement communities' and my GAS budget is crippled at the moment, lol It sure does feel good to help mom though, couldnt ask for a better one to be honest. :~)
