  • Evo "touch-sensitive" keyboard

    http://www.endeavour.de/discover_the_evo/evo.html

Interesting concept, but it requires your hands to move in 3 planes on the keys - up and down, and side to side as normally, but also now forward and backward. That extra movement seems like it would reduce speed and accuracy. With traditional aftertouch, your hand movement stays in the same plane as key velocity, so I imagine it would be easier to control.

Great concept. Finally something truly innovating.

I remember seeing drawings for a mechanical action that had that kind of thing. I don't think it ever got produced though, probably cost prohibitive and too complex.

I assume the one above measures change events. Can you imagine the intonation if you had to land on absolute positions

Way too expensive for not-even-full 4 octave controller. Although a cool technology advancement.

If I had that much money to spend on a keyboard controller, I'd rather get the Infinite Response VAX.

What synth accepts per-note control values?
It would be hard to play white and black notes equally.
                Still interesting.

Any synth that accepts polyphonic aftertouch for modulating its parameters would be good for this controller.
