Members bdub
I still haven't bought this for my iPad. Can you tell me whether it's possible to load my own samples? Can it be used to do splits and layers? Can I transpose parts in splits and layers (i.e., put a high string sound between C1 and C2)?
Members conundrum23
It is a rompler, not a sampler. It has up to 4 parts (ie. instruments) at a time. Each can be assigned to the same or different midi channel, so to do splits, you would need a controller that can transmit on multiple midi channels at once. Otherwise, you can only layer with the same midi channel. Splits/layers is something I wish they would let you adjust inside the app, but it doesn't appear they agree. Each part can be transposed independantly of the others. Why not download the free version and try it? It's about 1 gig in size (as is the paid version), but you can always delete it if you don't like it.

Members AnotherScott
Also, for sample playback, check out BS-16i. And it is often possible to run multiple MIDI apps at once using MIDIBridge.
Members Brian @ IK
After trying the free version, I would suggest buying the full version, rather than upgrading through in-app purchase, since in-app purchases cannot be transferred outside of the app they were purchased in. Members Brian @ IK
Just a reminder guys, please don't forget to give your IK apps a 5 star rating on iTunes. When they get updated, they need to be rated again! Thanks!
