Members wwwjd
What does the "X" stand for? Happy generic holiday, non-offensive, politically correct reason to celebrate commercialism mid-winter having absolutely no basis on any religion of any type anywhere, and why would anyone ever thing that in the first place, seasons greetings merriness. Members plawren53202
Not to get all nerdy on everyone, but actually, the X in the Xmas abbreviation comes from the Greek letter chi, which is the first letter in the word Xristos, the Greek word for "Christ." Now, whether individuals or corporations in modern society use Xmas as a less religious-sounding name for the holiday is another question. I can't help you on that one.
