Members BonsoWonderDog
Prompted by the Casablanca thread, which piano do you think would be the most valuable in the world? That includes brand new pianos, as well as those that may be valuable from a "priceless" point of view.I feel good about this. Members Nillerbabs
The one that will one day be mine. And oh - both in terms of price and historic/musical value, I think the piano at the Village Vanguard would rank pretty high. A LOT of landmark recordings have been played on that, and combined with the vibe of the place - magical.

Members BonsoWonderDog
Gold plated? Surely not solid gold - would weigh way whey too much. And the acoustics would be abhorrent.
Members Mediterranean
A quick search for the most expensive piano listed on ebay right now reveals it's an 1859 Steinway for 2 million bucks, with a buy-it-now of 10 million bucks. I don't know if I'm seeing it right though (too many zeroes is confusing sometimes). And it looks like the photos were taken with a camera from the same period.http://www.ebay.com/itm/1859-Steinwa...item20ce25f500
