Members zzzxtreme
High capacity ram is mighty expensive. I remember in 2006 or 2007, a single 16gb module (or is it 32gb?) costing $4k.

Members Gribs
As soon as I saw the web site my brain said "is this the Open Labs guy?" and the answer was "yes". In industrial enterprise-level scientific computing, large servers with multiple boards each having two processors are quite common. I also know a guy in the motion capture and animation business who has been using racks of workstations for decades. It doesn't surprise me that the Open Labs guy decided to try to sell something like this to the music industry.
