Members Robbins
http://www.nordlead4.comAlright here it is. The new Nord Lead 4.Still need more specs but:"All 4 slots have dedicated effect sections with delay, reverb, tube amp simulated overdrive, a Talk effect modeled after a vocal tract and a sample rate reducing Crush effect."http://www.nordkeyboards.com/main.asp?tm=Home
Members NielsM
Cool. Cool, yes. But I utterly, painstakingly miss- chorus and EQ effects from the wave- a proper screen, like Wave/Stage/Piano- most of all, sample playing. Grrr. Not the board for me, it seems. I guess a Nord Wave II would be your thing it seems
Members mildbill
I was starting to think we'd never see a Nord Lead 4. Looks great, but pricey according to this site: http://www.gearjunkies.com/news_info.php?news_id=8159
Members MuzikB
Too pricey and no aftertouch. Glad they added USB though but I'll pass. Currently getting along quite nicely with the Mopho X4. I'd consider the rack once the price was down to $1200.
Members Robbins
No display, disapoints me the most.I like patch names more then a number. It doesn't seem to evolve from NL3 at all. It's just different.

Members keybdwizrd
1849 euro for a Nord Lead 4 = $2,427 US.Yow. That's alotta money.I do like the four-part capability with independent effects, but no chorus or EQ? Argh.I've never had a Nord before... I would like to have one to play with someday. But not at this price.I'm sure it's a very nice synth.
Members cresshead
does anyone know if the sound engine has changed in the nord drum 2 compared with the nord drum 1?

I'm sure it's a very nice synth. When I bought my first NL2 (not the 2X), I paid $1,000 (USD) for it. It had a nice, clean, sharp sound that you don't really find with most others. But I found it pretty limiting, and traded it in, in less than a year. I told them it was a nice synth, but for what it could do, it probably should have gone for 5 or 6 hundred. Their stuff has always been a little pricey. When I got the Clavia G2 digital modular, I thought it was worth the price difference. But now they're no longer upgrading the editor for it.Sometimes you just can't win - LOL
