Looks like they made some nice improvements with the new model.But that's how it goes with the planned obsolescence of all this digital crap. There goes your resale value when the new model comes out. That's the trade-off for the added flexibility over acoustic instruments though. It would take quite a few acoustic pieces to do what the HPD's can do. You'd be able to use them when the electricity goes out though - ha ha.
