VS RD700NX -

way cheaper

wayyyyy lighter

wayy smaller width

no rythm/sequence playback section

I see this board as more of  RD300nx type board than the flagship   RD700 series.   So the costs are pretty equal if you go apples to apples.

It is a different action -- now the weighting is graded. I think it is an existing action with the same triple sensor system.

Part of the reason the CP series action seems so responsive is because of the continuous velocity sampling that is expressed in the EP models. Other boards like some Nord units only have 4 velocity samples and no fading between them. The EP models in the CP series blend the layers better and have finer control over volume used to voice these sample layers during performance.

Costco had a Casio w/ piano action so I spent some time pressing and poking at it trying not to attract attention and was puzzled to find the keys had a loose bounciness at the top of the release somewhat like an old spinet. Is this typical of the new piano actions? And the question of wear now comes up.
