Members GloomGenerator
Just wondering. Looking for ways to make a few bucks on the side and got to thinking. Not really sure if there's much market though? I see sales on eBay for a few bucks a piece, not really sure if it's worth it.
Members Ghostpaw
Some people do, though name recognition (yours) would make a big difference.
Members GloomGenerator
I was really referring to releases from independent, brandless entities. Like this sort of stuff on eBay- http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.Xindustrial+samples+loops&_nkw=industrial+samples+loops&_sacat=0&_from=R40
Members mcmike100
I once asked the developer of a highly acclaimed set of libraries how his sales were on one of his libraries. He said, "Guess how many I've sold." Wanting to be conservative in my guess, I said, "2000". He said, "I wish. I've sold 32."
Members GloomGenerator
I'm not surprised, sadly. Thank you all for the replies!
Members maarkr
I buy some stuff... I subscribe to Computer Music Mag, so you get a Gb or so with each issue plus a VST of the month. Sony Acid Planet has some nice pro samples, but are priced rather high. I may have about 300 Gb or so of samples... guess I'm a sample junkie, but I get song ideas, sound design ideas, I'll run thru a bunch when working on a new song in my DAW to see if anything makes it pop.I don't buy any samples off eBay or anywhere that is not professionaly produced. Members Synthaholic
Speaking $250 piano samples, I've wondered for years how this sounds:http://www.northstarsamples.com/GrandGoldEIII.htmlI'm not encouraged that they spelled 'Vannelli' wrong on the cover . . .
