Members Anderton
There seem to be tons of USB/MIDI interfaces out there, with mixed reviews. Anyone have good / bad / indifferent experiences to report?
Members nedezero1
If I couldn't find one commercially that worked, I would build my own. But I know not everyone has 2M soldering skillz. :-)
Members Anderton
I think you need more than soldering skills - there needs to be some processing in there, right? I don't think you can just wire a 5-pin DIN connector to a USB connector and have the data transfer properly...or can you?
Members WDMcM
This would do it.
Members Anderton
Found one that looks very cool...ESI MIDIMATE II. About $30, but what's cool is the two DIN connectors aren't dedicated to in and out. They can be two outs, two ins (MIDI merger), or in and out...pretty nifty. I'm going to check it out and see if it can handle poly aftertouch. If it can, I'll write up a review for HC.
