Members Chartheo
I gig a lot in different bands and need to play two different sounds at the same time through my keyboard rig. I am using the Roland A-37 to drive my Yamaha Motif Rack. The Roland has an Upper and Lower "Layer"...that as far as I can tell, will allow you to have a different patch assigned to each (and play in split mode or both at the same time). So you could be playing the organ on the Lower, and the horns on the Upper...at least that is the theory. But, for the life of me, I cannot get this to work with the Motif....(though I think it is the Roland that is at fault). Are there any Roland A-37 users that are using this capability? Do you have to assign a different midi channel to each and have the Motif set on "omni" as far as the "receiving channel"? Thanks in advance for any and all assistance (this is driving me f'ing crazy). Charlie
