Members OPEN OCEAN
Usually dont take pics of my gear and post them over the net but i thought that you should see this, it is a like new looking Custom made Roland D 50 which i traded for a crappy Roland Xp 50 that i never liked anyway, the sound of it is out of this modern world and i really love it inside - out. Have fun creating music
Members Etienne Rambert
I like the idea. How was it done? Where did the case come from? Was it a paint job?
Members OPEN OCEAN
From what i was told the upper part that in white was painted in a specialized factory tha only "minus" is that the letters are gone but you can find easily what to do from the manual or even better from a pc editor, if you want to move this on further you could somehow type the letters and place them as a "mask", white upper and black letters would be great think i i will try this at some point. Members Suilebhain
Instead of printing Roland D-50 on it you should put something on it that reflects you.
Members RockPianoman
An easy way to put all the text back on is to find a font and font size you like in a rich text document or Microsoft Word.....you could also copy another D-50 on a scanner so it would look like it originally did....also, the manual might have exact text you could shrink or enlarge to the right size....any text you use can be perfected on the computer before printing....you could also print it on glossy white label paper or use the following way...... Print them the way they should be and put thick clear box tape over all the text and then put double sided scotch tape on the back....don't cut them out until all the tape is on both sides.....this will give you good results unless you want to take it somewhere and have them painted on.....it's best to use laser jet instead of inkjet because even though the text will be covered by thick clear box tape, inkjet is still watercolor and it would be a mess if it ever got wet.... I used to label cassettes this way back in the day and had great results....double sided scotch tape can turn anything you print into a label.....paper alone will get really dirty over time but with tape over the text it keeps looking great....Contact paper might make Contact paper that is sticky on both sides for larger areas....
