  • Count Down to NAMM 2015- A Daily Walk Through NAMM

The final sprint before NAMM is on. Manufacturers are busy with the last minute drill of shipping, tweaking, printing, and probably in some cases panicking. As we approach NAMM, Harmony Central hopes to bring you a better community experience with NAMM 2015.
In this thread, we will bring you subtle hints of what we hear (some rumors and some not). If you hear of news, events, artists performing, and the like, feel free to post it!

    Jan 2nd, 2015:
We have it on good authority that a brand new microphone line will be launched by a manufacturer previously not associated with microphones. All the chatter we hear so far is good chatter and that the product will be amazing. Be on the look out for this new launch.

But will there be a microphone manufacturer that introduces only non-mic related gear?

Jan. 3rd, 2015: If you are going to the show and you like old school Bonham drumming, you'll want to make it out for this night time event! I have been in the past and can tell you it is off the chain!

Jan 7th: As many may (or may not) have heard, yesterday DW and and Fender announced that Drum Workshop purchased the American Percussion Brands from Fender/KMC (LP -Latin Percussion, Toca Percussion, Gretsch Drums, Gibraltar Hardware and KAT Percussion. Additionally, Ovation Guitars and the US Distribution rights for Sabian Cymbals.

                  See press release here:

So, where will they be located at NAMM? Quite Certain that things will remain the same for booth locations, but we'll keep you posted!

Can't help but think Gretsch Drums in the hands of DW won't be a spectacular thing.

We are hearing that another of the drum companies is jumping big time on the vintage wagon with some throwback looks and shell configurations ... I wonder who it will be?

Thanks! I just posted my link in a new thread before reading this

I'm reporting about NAMM from home again since there's a baby on its way (was actually already due last Friday, so he really could be here any day now...).

So more than ever (since time and sleep will be limited ;-)): all help/tips/hints/rumors/... about pedals are very welcome!
