Members larryguitar
Is there anything funnier than a bad guitarist playing on a guitar without fretboard markers in a key he almost never plays in? I say, 'no'-as proof I offer this: http://www.soundclick.com/util/downl...fm?ID=13252872 But it was such a fun track I had to have a go-thanks, Anton! Moderators Red Ant Posted November 14, 2015 Author Moderators Share Posted November 14, 2015 Here's my take, once straight through... changed up my tone: still my strat, but instead of my custom 15/7w head I'm plugged straight into a THD Univalve, opened up all the way... https://app.box.com/s/62yrhsy7p8p51qo2asuqydxdfhe3ywls

Really dig your tenor tone, its very early Wayne. Really works over this track since its kinda got a "Footprints" vibe already Edited November 15, 2015 by Red Ant

Moderators Red Ant Posted November 16, 2015 Author Moderators Share Posted November 16, 2015 (edited) My take. Some of the timing is sloppy. https://soundcloud.com/ken-denny-169...ues-in-f-minor The word that comes immediately to mind is.... groovy!! Especially the 1st chorus on the Hammond! Then it gets kinda bombastic (in a great way!) with the piano! One of my favorite takes I''ve heard from you! Nice! I'm about to do my "modal madness" piano take, Edited November 16, 2015 by Red Ant

Members onelife
Yes it is a tele neck pickup. The guitar is strung 10-52 and tuned down a half step. Unless I'm going for something specific, the Wes thing always seems to creep into whatever I'm doing. I really got into Wes after George Benson got a lot of exposure with the Breezin album. I also think Benson is a fabulous player and singer - it's like having Wes and Stevie in the same person.
