Members AJ6stringsting
For years, I was looking for a pickguard for my Randy Rhoads / Jackson with a route cut into it, so I could use a 5 way Fender style pickup switch instead of the Gibson style 3 way switch. This guitar is going to be wicked, I routed out the middle for a third humbucker with stacked concentric knobs, Dimarzio Evolution neck pick up ( 12.04k ohms), Dimarzio Evolution ( 13.84k ohms) ( originally a bridge pickup) in the middle with a GFS clearance sale pickup ( sounds like a meaner version of the EVO, with slightly scooped mids) at 17.04k ohms in the bridge position.I may have a guy cut one out for me, but I may end up doing it my self . I have a Dremel.Would any one recommend what kind of drill bits to buy, tools to use to cut out the slits w/ screw hole for the 5 way selector switch and what bevel to use on a three ply pickguard ?
