If you're saying you're going to use the triode only option on the EL84, I don't think you'll have to do anything. The pentode supply (B) would just be unused the same as it is with the switch in the triode position. You could eliminate the switch and the (B) line altogether since they won't serve any purpose.

230v on the secondary (output)? But still center tapped right? 230-0-230VAC? EL84 scan be run from 250VDC all the way up to 420VDC (way over their rating) without much trouble; they are very flexible. +10v more won't change much for the 12ax7 or el84.

 

Triode huh? Must be for a Hifi! as guitar guys usually dislike triodes...JJel84s are quite nice IMO>

 

you could do an ultralinear single ended too!

 

old Plymouth or the newer one?
