Members twothemax
what is considered to be a lower value? is 100k a lower value than 200k or am i backwards. thanks
Members thatsbunk
you're right... 100K is less resistance than 200K
Members twothemax
thanks. i am doing a gain reduction mod on my amp. mod states to start with a 100k // to original resistor. it also says a smaller value will decrease gain more and a larger value will decrease the gain less. i tried the 100k but would like to have a a liitle more gain reduction. so maybe 50k? Members WRGKMC
200K is a higher resistance than 100k. It blocks or drops more voltage You can look at it inversely too. 100K has better conductance than 200k. zero ohms is no resistance and infinity is no conductance
