Members WRGKMC
Never heard of this guy being involved with the Beatles but apparently he was an important part of their clan - not so much as far as music goesbut part of the persona which had many new technologies appearing at the time. https://www.yahoo.com/music/magic-alex-mardas-sham-technological-guru-beatles-dies-022901035.html
Members E-money
George Martin and Geoff Emerick both mention "Magic" Alex in their books. Neither one mentions him favorably.
Phil O'Keefe
Magic Alex impressed the technically-challenged John Lennon with a light box, and became a fixture at Apple Corps. The Beatles poured quite a bit of resources into some of his crazy ideas via Apple Electronics... and he was responsible for the rather shoddy initial setup at the Apple Studios - much of which had to be fixed in order to proceed with projects like the Get Back sessions. Magic Alex was a rather colorful and unique character and definitely part of Beatles lore, but not a particularly impressive one from a technological or innovation standpoint. Still, I'm sorry to hear of his passing. RIP.

Members onelife
I thought that was 'Dr. Robert' I always liked that song - nice gnarly guitars, great vocal harmonies, interesting arrangement - John described it as a 'throw away'. I belive the good doctor was responsible for the initiation but they kept it going - must have been top quality. .
Phil O'Keefe
Yeah, for a "throwaway" Dr Robert is a darned good song!
Members E-money
Alex also had an affair with John's wife Cynthia when the marriage was already falling apart. She later believed it was all setup by Lennon and the rest to make her look bad so that she would grant him the divorce.
