Members blackscot
My earlier thread asked about affordable condenser mics for recording acoustic guitar here: http://acapella.harmony-central.com/showthread.php?p=40236901 Thanks for the replies. As indicated, I ended up getting the Audio-Technica pack shown here: http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/Audio-Technica-AT2041SP-AT2020-and-AT2021-Microphone-Pack?sku=270455 Yesterday I got a few pics of the new set-up in my home spare-bedroom hobby studio. I experimented quite a lot with mic placement before coming up with the configuration shown, which seemed to do the best job of creating a full stereo sound. Any constructive comments/suggestion are welcomed.

All the D-series Nikons are wonderful instruments.
Members kurfu
How is the noise floor? Seems like you would have to run them pretty hot when they are placed that far away from the guitar, and you've got your computer sitting right there... Members blackscot
Got any clips? I still have to get better organized and find somewhere to post stuff. Or can .mp3's be directly attached here?

I opened a Soundclick account a few years back so I can post clips. It's free if you want to look in to it.

Members chris carter
Totally off topic, but if you get your speakers out of the corner and move them to the center of the wall, a couple feet off the wall, you will have a MUCH easier time mixing. Corners are the worst place to monitor as they have the most uneven response of any place in the room. It will probably be a night and day difference.
