Books on studio design

Recommended Posts

F Alton Everest did several books that IMO are well worth the money. In particular, Master Handbook of Acoustics is pretty much a must-have IMO.

Mitch Gallagher has a book out called Acoustic Design for the Home Studio; while I have not read it, I have read some of his other books (and worked with him back when he was the editor of EQ magazine), and I can recommend him in terms of his writing style, research thoroughness and overall knowledge. Mitch is one of the good guys. :phil:

There are a bunch of other books, and as The Radman said, some good websites (John's is definitely recommended).

It would help to know a bit more about what you mean by "studio design" - are you looking to make a small, low budget home studio, or are you trying to make a world class facility that would rival a Tom Hidley / Walters-Storyk / Russ Berger et al designed room?
