Members endofall
Could someone recommend me some books on studio design, any help or advice would be great. Thanks!
Phil O'Keefe
F Alton Everest did several books that IMO are well worth the money. In particular, Master Handbook of Acoustics is pretty much a must-have IMO. Mitch Gallagher has a book out called Acoustic Design for the Home Studio; while I have not read it, I have read some of his other books (and worked with him back when he was the editor of EQ magazine), and I can recommend him in terms of his writing style, research thoroughness and overall knowledge. Mitch is one of the good guys. :phil: There are a bunch of other books, and as The Radman said, some good websites (John's is definitely recommended). It would help to know a bit more about what you mean by "studio design" - are you looking to make a small, low budget home studio, or are you trying to make a world class facility that would rival a Tom Hidley / Walters-Storyk / Russ Berger et al designed room? Members KyleDMastering
+1 on F Alton Everest - Master Handbook of Acoustics. A bit dry and technical so make sure you have your focus cap on! also check out "Acoustic Design for the Home Studio" by Mitch Gallagher.... Lots of practical information in there.
