Here is their "instance chart" which shows the percentage of DSP that each plugin uses on a single processor (my Quad system has 4 processors), followed by the number of instances you can load of each plugin for each system.

There's a handy meter which shows you the overall DSP load at all times. I have yet to really tax my quad card. And of course you can still run additional native plugins, since the UAD plugs are not using any of your computer's CPU. You may need to increase your buffer size though, with a lot of UAD plugs loaded. And the other "problem" is that even though you theoretically CAN run other plugs, I rarely ever want to. biggrin.gif Since I got the UAD stuff, PSP Vintage Warmer is about the only native plug I use with any regularity anymore.
