  • Short fuse: Gifts for electric guitarists under $100?

    Hey all,

I'm a keyboard player and audio guy, so guitar is a bit out of my wheelhouse.

I have a friend with two Paul Reed Smith guitars, and he tends to favor eighties metal (Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Guns & Roses, etc).

Any suggestions for relevant gifts under $100? I would assume he already has a Crybaby and a swell pedal. Anything else is fair game.

    Thanks in advance.

Not to hijack the thread so soon, but has anyone tried the Graph Tech Ratio-Tuned tuning pegs? That might be an interesting gift, particularly for someone with two similar guitars so he can see if he likes what they do (and either buy another set or re-gift your gift).

That way you can assure that all of your instruments are out of tune with each other.

            A nice guitar strap

A box of his favorite strings - make sure you get the correct brand and gauge

A pedal of some sort might be nice - does he use any now? If he's anti-pedal, that one's out...

Very kind and thoughtful of you! Amp stand, multi-guitar stand, high quality guitar cords, box of strings, or amp tubes(if applicable).
