Members AJ6stringsting Posted April 17, 2017 Members Share Posted April 17, 2017 Allan Holdsworth has been a major influence on my playing since " Metal Fatigue ".I was drawn into his playing by the song ," The Devil Takes The Hindmost" .His smooth legato lines danced upon the most unique chordal backgrounds and were / are inspirational growing experiences that still motivate many.Back in the 1980's, I was a typical Shred Metal guitarist that borrowed heavily from from Allan Holdsworth.Seems like 2017 is going to be another year of losing more musical greats.R.I.P.
