If I'm Sebastiao Salgado, probably not. However, since I'm not, I feel that what they offered was a fair price, more than almost all other publications typically have offered me for a print. Members UstadKhanAli Posted September 18, 2016 Author Members Share Posted September 18, 2016 When NatGeo contacted me and asked if I wanted to have my photo in the publication, they sent along the photo as an attachment. And it had been appended with their proposed page number already! Rather clear that they had already had the photo well into the planning stages. And this was back in April. Anyway, very exciting. As a kid reading the Travel Section of the LA Times and gazing in wonder at the exotic lands depicted in the photos, I so wanted to go to these places. And I've been lucky enough to do so. But having photos featured in the LA Times is beyond anything I could have ever dreamed as a kid. Especially that horse portrait since that was the first time I photographed horses. I had a feeling that it was pretty good, but to get it perfectly sharp in the eyes and everything...well, you never really know until you get to see it larger on the computer screen or in a large print.
