Members Anderton
Obviously Gibson isn't the only company advertising here, so I don't want to play favorites...except that the person playing the guitar is a photographer here at Gibson, and the girl is his daughter. No high-paid models, no actors, no big photo shoot, no little girl being solicited from a Hollywood agency to be told "now, look like you love your daddy." I just think that's really cool. Everyone who sees that picture responds. I'm going to tie it back in with my current "Beyond 11" editorial: even if people don't know the backstory, they know something very real is happening, and it resonates with them. That's the way music should be.
Phil O'Keefe
Like good music, that ad photo has the ring of truth to it. People can often intuitively tell that which is honest and real from the bullarkey.
