Members blue2blue
I read this earlier and it made me sad. He wasn't a kid, but it's tough to let go. A fine musician and a great music lover. RIP, Mr Haden.
Members davd_indigo
Charlie Haden also played in some of the most forward looking jazz music in the 1970's. He played with Ornette Coleman for several years. An album called Science FIction (I think) was aimed at some of the same market as Captain Beefheart. A couple of songs from the album: All My Life Street Woman He also played with Keith Jarrett in the early and mid-70's. Again, I believe it was some of the most forward thinking music of it's time, and for many years. Keith Jarrett, Charlie Haden, Everything That Lives Lamentshttp://youtu.be/eaVxm8JyJcY Keith Jarrett, Charlie Haden, Paul Motian in Germany 1972http://youtu.be/x8eMfc6TjoA This stuff has been huge on my radar since the mid-70s and if Charlie is being discussed it should at least be mentioned. Members monstermaker
Goodbye Charlie and thanks for all that bass with Ornette. A huge part of my music education and a true innovator.
