Making the Video

Recommended Posts

Hello!

Time has come and the very first professional video clip of one of my band's songs is gonna be shot tomorrow.

We had another version, very... experimental  and none liked it :D so we took things more seriously -since it's gonna be an international release, not only a local thing- and we all spent time at the gym, were on diet, etc. Hopefully we won't look that bad on the screen.

I'm very excited since shooting the video means everything else is ready and this is the very last step to get the promotional campaign done and then release the first single AND the video on -sig- all hispanic music TV channels in the US. Of course, we're NOT a big budget project so it might take a little long to get the music played everywhere, but with a little of luck and support from our record label/ distributor and our yet small but growing fan base, we could at least recover the video's expenses :D ... my gosh, what an expensive hobbie !

So. we're gonna be playing the role of rockstars this weekend. The story will be very simple, with all of us playing and developing a little romance with some really cute models, Paola and Valeria who will play the main role.

I'll let you know more details as soon as there's something interesting to report.

Hello!

We were so busy, that none actually had time to get pictures of the process. However we had a photosession after it and a friend with my camera shot these ones -which are not, of course, the "official" ones-. Saddly, I'm now into the "all your footage now belongs to your record label" so maybe I will not see all of those pics taken.

I don't wantto contribute to make the forums slower, so if you want to see some pics, click on the following Links:

:D

Actually, Valeria happened to be a great actress.

What we really learned was the entire process of pre-producing a video, you know, everything from:

* getting locations shots for approval

* Logisits about plane tickets -national and international-, ground transportation, lodging, food for the whole team, equipment to be taken to the locations, etc

* Designing and planning the takes

* Inventory of everything to be taken to the locations

* Clothing, make-up and Hair stylers

* Selecting the models -hard work, someone has to do it anyway :D

Our label will do the video editing in Miami.

A very interesting process.
