Some electronic percussion to add to my acoustic drums.

    A gong.

    A sitar-guitar.

    A 12-string guitar.

    A saxophone.

    A trumpet.

    A minimoog.

      Soundelux E251C = 3000
      Apogee Rosetta 800 192k =2700
      Chameleon Neve clone x2 = 1500
      True Precisian 8 (8 mic pres) = 2500

I think that would bring what I have already to a nice competent package. Why... did I win?

Well, $10K would go a long way to making my unfinished basement into a comfortable, inviting, useable space (including a small synth studio). But if we're talking gear...

        1. DSI PEK
        2. Some good monitors
        3. a new MacBook Pro
        4. Workstation desk

        ... further down my wishlist..
        5. MackieControl
        6. MackieControlC4
        7. Apogee Ensemble

I'd be happy with $1800, for a Yammy MO8 and Line6 Pod XT Live.

The rest could go to Katrina's victims.

            Only $10k?

One of the new Eventide H8000 models as I have outgrown my DSP7000, Genelec sub for my 1031's, and a few more API eq's.

ADAM S3As, a G5 with Pro Tools LE, and more RealTraps. Then I'd sell my other monitors and get a larger monitor.

I'd spend $7,000 on beer and women.

The rest I would just waste.
                I roll on Shabaz.

                    Hi,

I don't have any high quality recording gear and at the same time I'm sort of happy with what I do have.

What I'm also happy with is the way my family supports what I do so the prize would be a nice family holiday. The rest of the money would go to finding a few experts in the field to pay them to teach me a thing or two of their trade craft.

Then I probably would make the stuff I already own sound even better and as I like learning and developing I'm sure I'd be a happier person to boot.

                    Cheers,

                    Mats N

OK... OK... ALL I won was $10K?!?

What kind of a crappy era-of-limits lottery win is that?

Most folks wouldn't even quit their job at Walmart behind something like that...

                      Geez.

As long as we're being HYPOTHETICAL, why can't I win some BIG money?

                      Huh?

I'd put it all back into lottery tickets.

I think if it were $20,000, I would have a soundproof room addition added on to the back of the house. The stuff I own is already good. It can always be better, but at least it's already good. But a room...now that would be awesome.
