I really liked Neve but also for me it sounded a little bit saturated and distorted. I'm curious if somebody over here is really using the summing mixers. Members bp Posted December 17, 2006 Members Share Posted December 17, 2006 I'm using the Tonelux stuff and like it quite a bit. Tonelux is Paul Wolff's newest company. He owned / ran API for 15 years before moving on to start Tonelux.It's not only a summing mixer, it's a modular mixing and recording system. You can pretty much build from a smaller sytem and expand as you wish. Empirical Labs (Dave Derr - the guy who makes the Distressor) and Geoff Daking are also making modules to fit the Tonelux racks. The Tonelux Configulizer is a flash app that allows you to check and price different configurations of the rack system. That said, I'd listen to Dangerous, Shadow Hills and others as well.
