Members Headbanger
It sounds different, the loudness ratio of the single tracks slightly changes and it sounds, well, different.. Or am I hearing ghosts ?
Members Rudolf von Hagenwil
Does it sound better when rendered to stereo? .
Members Anderton
It may be that you're playing back the stereo mix at a lower volume.
Members alfonso
Is your mixdown exported at 16 bits?
Members philbo
All of the above... plus, if you have an option to render (render - - heh, sounds like butchering a cow) to stereo at 64 bits, use it. It made all the difference for me. Not a Cubaser, though, I use Tracktion.

Cubase is still limited to 32 bits f.p., but, it would be better to export an undithered mix at that bitdepth and in a second project import just that single 32 bits f.p. file, insert some finalizing plugins, the (if) necessary fade in and fade outs and export the definitive 16 bits dithered file ready for CD. I'm doing a similar procedure, with the difference that I send tracks out from Cubase through separated busses to the Scope dsp mixer and use that platform to process and mix everything, but it's anyway a good move to separate the mixing from the finalizing, also for an optimal processing power availability. Members M-1 Fan
You can go to the Cubase forum and have them scream at you for not listing your OS and hardware. They might solve your problem after you kiss the toes of some of the forumites there. Oh, did I say "might"?
