Members John Sayers
Happy Feet is a production of a Sydney company called Animal Logic. This is a very smart computer animation company. This year they produced a new TV chat show called Tench. Tench is a realtime animated host - here is a wmv file of him in action. http://johnlsayers.com/Stuff/tench.wmv This is all generated in realtime - apparently the audience sees the guy who plays Tench. He is side of stage wearing a complex costume that directs the computer to animate the Host in realtime. I gather he has 28 different facial expressions. The other interesting factor is that I tried to record the show twice - on both occasions it recorded the video BUT NOT THE AUDIO, making it useless. It appears they have embedded their own digital rights management into the program. BTW - the guy who plays Tench is hilarious, when you are an animated puppet you can get away with murder cheers john

Members Jon Gnash
I heard that Buddy Epson auditioned for the role of Tench, but he had to turn it down because he was allergic to the silver paint. Or am I just all confused again?
