There wasn't a large crowd of people there at the start of the gig since Teddy Geiger had a NYE celebration nearby. But, the people started pouring in after midnight. My wife bought me a new Korg CX3 keyboard for Christmas. I played my third gig with it last night and, after doing the necessary tweaks, this thing SCREAMED!! That NYE gig was probably one of the most fun I've ever played! I am no gear whore by any means, but I would have to say that new gear made a lot of the difference last night. How did everyone's NYE gig go? For those who got any gear as Xmas presents, did you get to use it and how much of a difference did it make in your setup? Our gig went great, we had the dance floor packed from the get-go, and the club actually paid us $500 more than we'd agreed to, how often does that happen!? But I'm a hurtin' puppy today.
