I was just watching A Night at the Opera the other night. She's one of the best looking female leads in a Marx Bros movie, I think. Next to the creamy Thelma Todd, of course. My, oh my.

Where were we... ah yeah.

Sorry to see a great lady of stage (and movies) go. Not a bad voice either. ;)

I always thought she was great... A kind of American royalty, really.

Remember her on the panel of TO TELL THE TRUTH...? (Showing my age here.)

By the time she was 25, she had studied at The Sorbonne, The London School of Economics and The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. An empowered, 20thC woman, avant-la-lettre.

Bright chick.

I'm so old, I remember the show with host Bud Collyer:

Will the real old man please stand up? :D

She had a good, long life. I had no idea she was still alive either...until I heard the news. Rest easy, Ms. Carlisle...

Lucille Ball was hot too. But only for a fleeting moment.

I tried to find a good picture of her with Google Images, but all I can find is this opossum.
