Members Magpel
What the F#@k is wrong with Alf Clausen? This does not bode well...
Members Dave Bryce
Really? I was actually on the Fox lot a couple of weeks ago, and Alf Clausen was on the main sound stage recording the orchestra for the Simpsons movie score. I wonder if he was just conducting Zimmer's score? dB
Members spokenward
My first thought was that it seemed easy and wrong. But I'm going with my second thought - no show has ever referenced and spoofed as many movies as the Simpsons. And no composer/shop has attached himself to as many movies in the last twenty years as HZ. So if you are going to make a big Simpson movie you have to be able to convincingly deliver the big movie music dialect. So when they reach for something like Driving Miss Daisy or Rainman they get it. It will work, but it may also make us nostalgic for the small screen and the way that they were able to do more with less.
Members amplayer
I have no idea, but I would not be surprized if Alf was too busy with the Simpsons episodes to do the movie.
