Members temnov
I read this article in September EQ several times, thank you for great advices and tips. One of them - regarding integrating hardware effects with Cubase 4 - was right on time. I used it with VST System Link when one computer was used as an effect rack. Worked like charm! BTW, Craig do you use VST System Link? I digged it in and I think it's a great way to distribute the computer power over several machines.
Members Anderton
First of all, I'm glad you liked the article! As to VST system link, I've never really fooled around with it much...I have enough problems keeping one computer going But I really should try it out more. Members temnov
I really think you should, Craig. For the guy like you one computer is not enough I was able to use my old computer for many different tasks, including effect rack, MIDI synth rack (cheaper than Muse Receptor) and digital recorder with additonal tracks. As about EQ, it's getting beter and better
Members alphajerk
the nice thing about nuendo [im sure cubase does this as well] was that i ran my mac as a 8 channel altiverb box for a mix once. just lightpipe between the two and ping'd the mac/altiverb [this was before altiverb was out for XP] but took a huge load off the nuendo machine.
