Just a thought for you guys out there, but who do you rate as the best multi-instrumentalist? I'm a great fan of David Sancious, and I haven't come across anybody who plays keyboards and guitar with such equal skill as he can. And then I was listening to the Edgar Winter Group playing Frankenstein recently, and thought of Edgar Winter's abilities on keyboards, sax and percussion. It would be good to hear about other people's views on this.

Mark O'Conner. Known for his Nashville fiddle work but is an awsome guitarist as well.

Ricky Scaggs is a very good guitarist but his Mandolin chops scream.

Stevie Wonder on the Chromatic Harp, Keys, Drums and voice...

Prince yes! He can outplay his band specialists on each of thier instruments.

I love Edgar. Never like his precussion chops so well though.

Mark O'Connor is a good call. Maybe not the most instruments, but maybe the most best at the ones he does play.

There's so many, you know? It's almost not even that special. A musician who is really talented on that touch, kinesthetic level is going to be good at however many instruments he/she has the time to d*ck around with.

A former customer of mine, the little purple guy from Minnesota. If ever there was a one man band, he is it. I think he could play just about any instrument that happened to fall into his hands.

Yeah, he doesn't just play fretted instruments, but the whole array, and does 'em all super well. Amazing talent.
