Members philbo
Well, there was Napoleon Bonaparte the XV - - he did a fine job on 'They're coming to take me away'. But maybe he was just a tad out of the mainstream, eh?

Members Magpel
Oh! I get it. "Relatively" with a capital "R"... no, no, we know what's going on. Lee only saw Ernest's response, not Hard Truth's original post. Let's call this out now and not just sit back and hope the thread drops from Lee's view before she realizes what she has done. Members rasputin1963
Hmm... Mainliner artists that recorded weird hypodermic songs Ok, ok, enough. On that great recent RHINO anthology of Cocktail/Lounge, there are several examples of the phenomenon of 1940's and 50's artistes trying to "get hip with the kids" by singing psychedelic 1960's tunes... It's especially jarring to me to hear sex kitten Julie London purr Bob Dylan's "The Mighty Quinn". I think it's a safe bet that this song's lyric is about the appearance of heroin and a heroin dealer.... but Julie sings it as if "quinn" were code for "quim"... to her, the whole song is about how everything is going to get much better once Vagina arrives on the scene....
