Members rasputin1963
Do any of you remember the famous ROLLING STONE BOOK OF LISTS? It had some very clever and enlightening lists in it... I think my favorite was "Songs we can't believe made it past the censors". I can't recall what these songs were. Do you remember? Another list I thought was funny is "List of the most boring acts of the rock era". Remember those, too?

Members ultravibe
Not sure about Rolling Stone - but I do remember an old interview with Steven Tyler talking about how some censorship group listed Aerosmith as having lyrics that were inoffensive. Tyler said "I guess they didn't know what the line 'you ain't seen nothin' till you're down on the muffin' meant..."
Moderators Lee Knight Posted December 10, 2007 Moderators Share Posted December 10, 2007 "I met a cheerleader, was a real young bleeder" Offensive? What?
Members Super 8
I had that song on 45 in '77. I was 10 years old. I remember the lyrics -or at least those that I could understand- but I never caught any of their meaning. It was just a bunch of stuff you say in a song to make it sound cool. It didn't have any meaning.
Members Hard Truth
Perhaps its the Jefferson Starship's Miracles "I had a taste of the real worldWhen I went down on you, girl."
Members fantasticsound
What about Grease? The song Greased Lightning has the lyrics: You are supreme the chicks'll cream for grease lightning and With new pistons, plugs, and shocks I can get off my rocks You know that I ain't bragging she's a real {censored} wagon Grease lightning My wife remembers singing it in grade school or middle school chorus and it did get some airplay though other songs from the soundtrack were more prevalent. Members Fendercaster
Yeah, Walk This Way is full of racy lyrics. How about "singin' hey diddle diddle with your kitty in the middle of the swing like you didn't care"?
