Members E-money
I'd like to share my MP3 folder across my home network, both PCs are running XP Pro. All the options on the Sharing tab are grayed out. I'm thinking I must have a service turned off, but I'm having a hard time finding out which one. Any ideas? Members rasputin1963
There's the SHARING tab on the folder... and there's also a SECURITY tab. Have you monkeyed with the various Permissions to see if that helps? Sometimes with Windoze you have to give yourself permission to use your own computer... Members harrycox
Check and make sure the service is loaded. Right click on "My Network Places" then chose "Properties". Rick click on "Local area Connection" and chose Properties". Make sure "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" is listed in the white box ( This connection uses the follwing items). If it is not listed chose "Install" then "Service". Harry
Members Super 8
You'll need to be logged in as an administrator to give yourself permission to share folders. This may be why the options are grayed out. I suggest making use of Help and Support in trying to sort this out.
