Members slight-return
As you guys know - wifey gave up science for the law (well, she's in biomed patents mainly so she's got both going on) Well, she spent Saturday researching problem districts b/c on election day she and a bunch of other attys deploy to polling places to protect voting rights, watch for shenanigans, help with legal advice on voting and all that I think it's a neat piece of service she does
Members blue2blue
Maybe what we really need is an army of database guys. But they'd never let us within 500 feet of an electronic voting machine...

Members slight-return
Maybe she could stop all the registration fraud going on.... It's another part of the puzzle I wouldn't expect anybody to be able to stop all of anything, but it's another area to be addressed, certainly she does her part though as an atty she operates primarily as legal counsel, not investigator (generally tends to be dealing with the compliment of voter reg fraud, voter suppression) While we, as non-attys, wouldn't be able to fill her space - we can each look for an area where we can help...there may be areas where non-attys can help in the fight against registration fraud, it's worth a call to your local election board to see if/where you can help (may be late this time, but there is next time too)
Members spokenward
It's good work. Here we need grownups to explain that the stylus is not filled with invisible ink. The poll workers are not as well trained as they once were, in part because there are a greater variety of machines to support. And in part because those "greatest generation" poll workers are no longer up to the long day.
