Members Guitzilla
I need some advice. I am doing some recordings for a production. The score calls for vibes. I can't find a vibes patch in my soft-synths. Would you use marimba...glockenspiel...or maybe layer the two? What other patches would you suggest? I have Dimension Pro, M1, Rapture and the other plugins that v=come with Sonar 7 Producer. Brian
Members linwood
You could always buy this - http://www.artvista.net/Cool%20Vibes.html They sound great. Also, sometimes I'll still use the vibes from the mks-20 and they work well in some tracks.
Moderators Lee Knight Posted October 15, 2008 Moderators Share Posted October 15, 2008 Try a Rhodes patch and soften the attack and play with the decay.

I didn't think of an electric piano...I have one that's called Chimey EP. I might try that and then try to modify a Rhodes patch. Thank you both for the advice.Brian
Members Frantag
In Dimension Pro there is a patch under the Bells category called 50s Vibraphone.
Members Guitzilla
Thank you! I looked under bells for vibraphone initially and didn't see it. I wish they would have called the patch vibraphone, 50's. Dimension Pro has been a great synth for me. Guitar is my main instrument so, I don't get under the hood of it enough though.
