Members Jeff da Weasel
I'm thinking about flying up to lovely San Francisco for a day or two and stopping by the show to say hello to some people and see some gear. It's also a good excuse to get out of town with my lady for a weekend, eat some great food, and hang out in one of my favorite cities. The exhibits run Fri-Sun Nov. 5-7. You can get info at http://www.aes.org/ . Anyone else planning on going? I need to check on airfare and hotel and so on to make sure I can actually afford to go (not a given in this economy), but I think I will. If you are, let me know so we can hang out. Members UstadKhanAli
I'd like to, but probably not. I really like this far more than NAMM, and also like hanging out with people, but given how my class is going, I doubt I'll be able to take off. Members Jeff da Weasel
Ken, you and I (and Bunny and friends) had a terrific time that one year when we all managed to convene in SF. Beers, sushi, and audio geekdom. That was cool.
Members UstadKhanAli
That was soooo much fun. It's moments like that which make me really want to go to AES. I don't even remember what I saw at AES that year. I don't know. Who cares? It was cool gear. But I remember stuff like that the most. And thank you for your generosity once again. CMS Author MikeRivers Posted September 22, 2010 CMS Author Share Posted September 22, 2010 I'm going. One of the several secret VIP codes for free exhibits-only registration is 129TECH (from the regular registration page) or click here to get directly to the registration form. Some years they have selected workshops priced a la carte, but I don't see that yet. You can look, drool, and watch for a deal.

Members Jeff da Weasel
Well, my main day at the show will be on Saturday (yes, I decided to go for sure). It's not a giant show; easy to see everything in a short day. As we get closer to AES, I'll get in touch with folks on this thread so we can pick a place/time to do a mini SSS meet. Members Anderton
HC will be sending me, of course. But I don't get to socialize much (okay, actually, not at all) - I go back to the hotel room aftger the show and edit videos.

I've even paid high school friends of my little sister 10 bucks an hour to add myspace friends for me. Seriously, hiring assistants frees you up quite a bit and is well worth it. Members mcmike100
Jeff, I'm not going. But if you get a chance, check out a new analog console manufacturer called Undertone Audio. I'm curious to hear how their console is. Mike McRoberts
